Artists And Alchemists: A Look At Alternative Approaches To Photography
From the rich blues of cyanotypes to the magic of solargraphy; immerse yourself in photography and see how you can bring these creativity-driven processes into your classroom. Participates will explore alternative photographic processes that cross the boundaries of the curriculum. We will look at three historical processes (cyanotype, photogram, and solargraphy) all which require little to no chemicals making them accessable to most grade levels. You'll get the back story and history of these techniques as well as an opportunity for a hands-on experience. You will have the opportunity to take part in an ongoing collabrative art project.
