Did you know that 40% of food in Canada is wasted? Jen Rustemeyer, the award-winning producer of the documentary Just Eat It, will share her experiences diving into the issue of food waste and using film to ignite young minds across the country. She'll be joined in a delicious demonstration by Selma van Halder, chef and owner of Fare Kitchen Literacy which strives to build a community of conscious consumers through meaningful connection to ingredients. Selma has trained under some of the most progressive farm to table and zero waste conscious chefs in Vancouver, most notably Chris Whittaker at Forage and Timber restaurants.
