Gladys: The Life Of A Child In A BC Indian Residential School

Somebody’s sister, somebody’s auntie, somebody’s daughter…based on the story “The Gladys We Never Knew,” featured in the BCTF book, Project of Heart: Illuminating the Hidden History of the Indian Residential Schools, this workshop will focus on the Life Of A Child module developed for teachers in intermediate grades.  Participants will have the opportunity to engage in some of the module activities and speak with the developers.  The goal of the session is to provide teachers with the resources, background, and support that will prepare them to take their students to a deeper level of truth and reconciliation education.
