DANCEPL3Y

This workshop features a cross-curricular unit designed to help you bring BC’s revised curriculum to life with music and movement!  Get PLAYFUL with your students as you develop physical literacy and address core competencies through dance! DANCEPL3Y (dance-play) is an internationally accredited, award-winning curriculum-based program that “plays” with dance while promoting positive mental health through the 3 Rules of PL3Y: Be Positive. Be Fun. Be Yourself.  The engaging and interACTIVE program is specifically designed to develop fundamental movement skills, physical literacy, interpersonal skills, dance movement vocabulary and musicality. Students love learning simple moves from a variety of dance and music styles – Hip Hop, Urban, Ballroom, Bollywood, Lyrical, Jazz/Funk as they get interACTIVE with their peers and claim their Bubble of Awesome. During this workshop, you’ll learn simple dances to today’s most popular songs, and apply a simple 6-step framework to build a co-created dance performance.
