Science Mythbusters OFFSITE - Telus World of Science

Misconceptions and misperceptions regarding key scientific concepts are widespread and deeply entrenched among students, teachers and the public. Did you know: mutations are extremely common, weak chemicals bonds contain lots of energy, mirrors don’t really “flip” images, and gender can be influenced by whom you meet? In this workshop, we will review some of the most widely misunderstood of science concepts and consider a host of strategies and engaging hands-on activities to address and avoid them.
