Using Home Economics Approaches As Part Of The ADST Curriculum (K-8)

Participants will explore the potential of using practical, mindful home economics learning approaches that tie into their current teaching practice to meet the curricular competencies and/or content of the ADST K-8 curriculum.  Rachel and Melissa bring elementary, middle, and secondary Home Economics experience to this workshop.  They will provide their own wide-reaching examples and also support participants in exploring how they might use home economics concepts to reach their learners. Participants will leave this engaging workshop with a variety of budget friendly tools, teaching strategies, and lesson/unit ideas that will support the incorporation of the ADST curriculum in their classrooms.
